In 2023, they embarked on a strategic payroll enablement project to optimise their Workforce Dimensions configuration and ensure payroll accuracy across their complex enterprise agreements.

    The client was grappling with a range of payroll-related challenges, most notably the complexity of managing payroll across nine different Enterprise Agreements. They needed a robust and scalable payroll management platform that could handle these intricacies while ensuring compliance with system configuration validation and governance requirements. Additionally, the client sought to align and optimise their payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy, while also ensuring sustainable knowledge transfer to their internal teams for ongoing success.

    To address these issues, we collaborated closely with the client, starting with a comprehensive Payroll Audit and Analysis. This involved a detailed review of two pay periods, rigorous Pay Rules testing, and validation of the Enterprise Agreements’ configuration. We thoroughly examined timesheets and attendance records and conducted an in-depth system configuration assessment. For Process Optimisation, we focused on validating and optimising Pay Rules, aligning them with the Enterprise Agreements, and enhancing overall process efficiency. We also worked to improve data accuracy and validate payment reconciliations. Lastly, our Knowledge Transfer strategy included documenting processes, building internal capabilities, and delivering training and support to establish sustainable practices for ongoing payroll management.

    The results were transformative. We successfully validated and optimised 100% of the Pay Rules, ensuring the client’s payroll system was both accurate and efficient. All nine Enterprise Agreements were seamlessly configured, and post-implementation, payroll queries were reduced by 85%. The client also saw a remarkable 90% improvement in process efficiency, significantly streamlining their operations and reducing administrative burden.
